I am a nature lover with a great enthusiasm of learning. I have drawn my inspiration of learning from living in many different places. I was born in Dhaka and soon after moved to many different places while growing up due to my father's transferrable job. That allowed me to study in almost in half a dozen schools with a rare chance to make friends from all over the country. Later I moved back to Dhaka, spent 12 years of my life there before again moving to Europe for my studies. My love for nature and keenness to understand it have led me to choose my study area. After finishing my graduation from Holy Cross School and College, I did my under-graduation in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Dhaka and my Masters in Conservation Biology along with working on Soil Bacteria Conservation as my thesis topic with a two-year Erasmus Mundus fellowship. Shortly after, I obtained a fellowship funded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network EpiDiverse which allowed me to work as an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) at the Department of Evolutionary Ecology, Plant-Animal Interactions group, at Spanish National Research Council (EBD-CSIC), Spain.
My experience has helped me to be adaptable and act as team player with a strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from diverse background. Along with my aspiration of pursuing a career in research with a focus on environment and climate change, I take an incredible interest in social, climate policies, their social application. I have also worked in multiple project for addressing Sustainable Developmental Goals in South Asia. I have represented my country in Leadership Youth summits and conference as a national representative in Potsdam Germany (2017), G20 Interfaith Summit, Kerala, India (2016) Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia (2016), ISESCO HQ, Morocco (2015), Harvard University National Model UN, Boston USA (2014), Asia Pacific Model United Nations, Thailand (2012).
I have been doing consultancy on Innovation Management for a Youth led Social Enterprise named Gen Lab since 2016. I was also a national selection judge for Bangladesh - Climate Launchpad in global green business ideas competition, powered by EIT Climate-KIC (2020) and Gen Lab. Travel, music, any kind of good book, my team’s game and different cuisines are few of the favorite things that I like to indulge myself with.
